I am an architect and educator originally from Hong Kong, and I have returned to my hometown after spending several years working in London, New York, and the Caribbean. Alongside my architectural and educational pursuits, I have continued to explore the realm of watercolor and alcohol ink painting. In my artistic practice, I embrace a broad spectrum of colors, employing various techniques and tools to create my pieces. The recurring themes in my work revolve around memory, landscapes, time, and space.
For me, abstract painting is a deeply meditative process. I find that as I paint, my subconscious takes the lead, guiding my choices in colors, brush strokes, and composition. This method allows me to create what I refer to as "mindscapes" - vibrant artistic expressions that forge an emotional connection between myself and the viewers. Through my artwork, I aim to transport viewers beyond the physical realm, inviting them into a world that resonates with their emotions and transcends the boundaries of our everyday experiences.
